Zezhi Shao

Dr. Zezhi Shao is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), where he is affiliated with the Research Center for Intelligent Equipment Systems and the State Key Laboratory of AI Safety. His research interests include time series analysis, spatial-temporal data mining, and AI4Science. Prior to that, he earned his Ph.D. at the Institute of Computing Technology, CAS, under the supervision of Prof. Yongjun Xu, with additional co-supervision by Assoc. Prof. Fei Wang and Prof. Wei Wei. He has published over 20 papers in top-tier journals (e.g., The Innovation, TKDE) and conferences (e.g., KDD, VLDB, CIKM). His work has been cited more than 2000 times according to Google Scholar. Notably, four of his papers—STEP, GinAR, STID, and DSFormer—were recognized as the most influential papers by PaperDigest, and two of his papers have been featured as Highly Cited Papers in ESI. He has served as a Program Committee (PC) member and reviewer for prestigious conferences and journals, including TPAMI, KDD, TKDE, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, IJCAI, MM, AAAI, and others. In addition to his academic contributions, he is passionate about open-source software. He has received over 2.7K stars on GitHub and is the maintainer of the popular time series project BasicTS.
